De dagen zijn te kort. Zelfs met 48 uren zou je nog niet toekomen. Tijd als een druppel op een hete plaat of een glas water in de zee. Hoewel … eigenlijk kan je niets meer doen dan wat je nu al doet want de vermoeidheid slaat toe. De fut om zelfs nog de verfspatten van je armen aan te pakken ontbreekt. Je spurt naar de winkel met die “werkbroek” aan, neemt de tijd niet om kleding te veranderen om weer al die km naar huis te rijden. De gaspedaal lonkt om het snel te doen maar de wegen zitten overvol, flitspalen spelen Big Brother, de dieselprijs hapt in het budget. Kant en klare maaltijden, te vet, te veel, te onzorgvuldig klaargemaakt lijken de enige oplossing om bij te benen. Het is overduidelijk dat het de verkeerde kant uit gaat maar “geen tijd” lijkt een goed excuus om zelfs de weegschaal niet uit de kast te halen. Bliksemsnel went je maag aan te veel en je geeft toe aan dat grommelend ding want het is “de moment niet”. Die alarmbel kan dan zooo luid klinken, nu niet … morgen, later … volgende week, als … .
